About Me

As a native New Orleanian, I feel that I was fortunate enough to grow up in one of the most unique and culturally rich cities in the United States. I love my hometown, but I was also born with an acute sense of wanderlust and have always had a desire to discover new places, cultures, and experiences. So, when it came time to pick a college, I decided to leave the south and travel 2,000 miles away to attend Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. Despite the frigid winters, I loved the small town college feel and sense of community I found there.

After graduation, I was on the move again - this time back to my hometown to help in the rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Katrina. I lived and worked in New Orleans for two years before moving on to a new challenge - a life in San Francisco. During my time here, I've grown to love the charming neighborhoods, friendly people, and endless opportunities for adventure in this city. From the hiking trails in Marin County to the rolling vineyards of Sonoma and Napa Valley to the outdoor playground of Lake Tahoe, there are so many amazing places to explore!

Regardless of wherever I am and whatever I'm doing, I've always found time for travel. I studied for a semester in Florence and have been fortunate enough to take some amazing trips. I hiked the Inca Trail from Cuzco to Machu Picchu, strolled among iguanas and sea lions in the Galapagos Islands and visited the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt.

When I'm not planning or dreaming about my next journey, I enjoy exploring my new city of San Francisco and staying as active as possible through soccer leagues and hiking outings. I also keep telling myself I'm going to brush up on my French (just in case I need it on my next adventure).
